Growing government contractor in the northern Virginia area is seeking a Contract Recruiter to assist in sourcing and screening candidates to build a strong pipeline of talent for current and upcoming requirements.  This position is short-term – three to six months - with potential for additional assignments.


  • Full lifecycle recruitment of prospective candidates for strategic and pipeline staffing needs;
  • Build a pipeline of external talent for current staffing requirements;
  • Use proactive sourcing techniques to generate prospects including but not limited to the following: Booleanoperators, social media, name generation, internet searches, referral follow-ups, and internal/external resume databases;
  • Work with Talent Acquisition, HR and Program Managers to conduct a skill gap analysis and develop contingent requisitions to address staffing needs;
  • Generate and analyze reports that demonstrate the effectiveness and productivity of resource management;
  • Collaborate with Program Managers to identify job opportunities for contingent candidates with critical skills;
  • Network with professional organizations in person and online to attract top professionals.


  • A minimum of five years of experience as a full lifecycle recruiter, recruiting manager, or resource manager;
  • Demonstrated experience with sourcing tools and techniques such as online social networking, traditional networking, Boolean searches, name generation, and referral management;
  • Experience with electronic applicant tracking systems, specifically iCIMS

Corporate recruiting experience in a federal contracting environment required.

  • Must have an understanding of government compliance regulations such as OFCCP and EEOC.
  • Demonstrated customer and candidate management abilities and relationship building skills;
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills at all levels in the organization;
  • Must be detail oriented and have strong project management abilities;
  • Military experience a plus and/or experiencerecruiting former and transitioning military for a wide range of positions
