Provide technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations. Oversee an experienced team in the management and support for enterprise-level infrastructure. Work with government customer to identify needs or opportunities for improvement, plan and implement large scale projects with no impact to daily operations. Provide oversight for a variety of systems engineering tasks and activities that are broad in nature and are concerned with major systems design, integration, and implementation, including personnel, hardware, software, budgetary, and support facilities and/or equipment. Provide quality assurance review and the evaluation of new and existing software products. Provide assistance and oversight for all information systems operations activities, including computer and communications operations, data control, LAN/WAN administration and operations support, operating systems programming, system security policy procedures, and/or web strategy and operations. Act as the site manager for all team personnel including interviewing, hiring, timekeeping, evaluations, mentoring, personnel corrective actions, and representing Abacus to the customer.
10+ years experience in a technical role including supervisory or team lead experience. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Must be PMP certified. Must be able to obtain a Microsoft or Cisco certification with 6 months of date of hire. Must have a strong technical support background and be familiar with service desk, application support, and system engineering. Experience leading a technical team in an enterprise-level environment and comfortable providing direction and guidance to others. Experience with DoD systems and military protocols preferred. Able to provide clear and concise directions to staff regarding project execution. Must be a US citizen with an active Secret clearance.
