Bachelor's degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, or equivalent work experience. Three (3) years of professional work experience may be substituted for one (1) year of education.
Five (5) years of operational or managerial work experience in the field of rural border patrol and tactical operations instruction.
Tactical team/special operations experience, with a minimum of three (3) years' work experience as a tactical operations team member.
Training in small unit tactics, operational planning, tracking/sign cutting, land navigation, patrolling, defensive tactics, firearms training, or other similar areas associated with rural border patrol or other tactical operations.
Two (2) years of related instructional experience.
Must have US Border Patrol Tactical Unit (BORTAC) or equivalent military or law enforcement border operations training.
