The Controller is responsible for the daily operations and management of the accounting department. The Controller ensures that daily funds are available to maintain operations and payroll for all business units. We are looking for an individual who is able to prepare financial statements, forecasts and budgets for management, banks and investors and be able to develop a strong working relationship with business managers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

?        Strong experience dealing with financial institutions

?        Experience establishing and integrating accounting software

?        Ability to streamline accounting systems with software and technology

?        Review and authorize payroll

?        Review and approve all general ledger entries that are prepared by the accounting staff

?        Monitor cash flow for all business units

?        Prepare and book adjusting entries for various business units as needed

?        Review reconciliations for all business units

?        Review financial statements for all business units

?        Review commission statements

?        Prepare consolidated financial statements for management including aging reports and budgets

?        Prepare required documents for any CPAaudits

?        Prepare financial statements when requested by bank, landlord, etc.

?        Respond to all State and IRS related tax issues

?        Assist in the start up of any new divisions or business units

?        Ensure all ?books? are closed on time

?        Review all business units year end financials, making adjustments as needed, and preparing year end financials for CPA and tax returns ensuring that they are accurate and are filed on time


?        Undergraduatedegree in accounting or finance

?        Minimum 5years?experience in accounting as a controller or Sr. Accountant

?        Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to coach, develop and assist team members, all while being part of a high performance team.

?        Experience with QuickBooks and TMS Trinium preferred

?        Strong Excel skills

?        Ability to deal with problems involving several variables.

?        Ability to make decisions and to prioritize and communicate effectively to staff, the key objectives necessary to achieve organizational goals.

?        Ability to speak Chinese preferred
