The Continuous Improvement Consultant (Supply Chain) handles major Lean Six Sigma project portfolios in order to accomplish measurable business process improvements for specific Operations areas of Aviall. The Continuous Improvement Consultant employs Lean Six Sigma, project management and change management methodologies and analytics into organizational operations in order to accomplish business objectives. Ensures accurate analysis and recommendations to enable effective business decisions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as Supply Chain functional leader responsible for implementing business and process improvements that will create a best in class supply chain organization.
  • Serve as subject matter expert in Supply Chain areas such as inventoryforecasting and optimization of inventory, supply chain system business modeling, improvement of existing IT supply chain systems and tools, and launch of new processes and systems focused on integrating Aviall Services, Incorporated processes into Boeing Global Services.
  • Serve as functional matter expert and project leader for implementation of ERP Service Parts Management tool.
  • Interface with IT consultants and team leaders to drive completion for significant program launches.
  • Identify and automate manual processes to drive synergies across the organization and improve cross functional collaboration.
  • Serve as Supply Chain functional leader responsible for implementing business and process improvements that will create a best in class supply chain organization.
  • Coordinate Lean Six Sigma and systems process improvement project activities to ensure successful project completion according to schedule.
  • Identify areas/potential projects where process redesign/improvement can significantly impact efficiency, quality, profitability, competitive position and customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with process owners and champion to drive results.
  • Conduct baseline and value stream studies to determine applicability of project idea to strategic business needs.
  • Participate in business case development and prioritization of technology and/or business process driven projects.
  • Conducts analytical studies to support critical objectives as set forth by the Director of the assigned area.
  • Responsible for the interpretation and analysis of key metrics or business issues; provide recommendations and monitor trends.
  • Develop and/or improve analytical tools.
  • Leads and mentors other business process improvement professionals.
  • Serves as team leader, guiding and counseling team members, and providing feedback to manager during performance management process.
  • Provides consulting, instruction and coaching to managers and employees on business process improvement programs.
  • Leads special projects and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or IT related field.
  • 8 – 10 years related experience in Supply Chain. 6-8 years of related experience in a corporate environment, preferably with distribution and/or services/transactional companies.
  • Coursework and certifications in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from a recognized accrediting body or industry Leader

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s or MBA preferred
  • Six Sigma Master Black Belt
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Graduate Coursework
  • Experience in Supply Chain optimization modeling, inventory optimization, and other tools
  • Experienced in SAP utilization, Services Parts Management Tool, CPM, CPSM, or APICS certification preferred.
  • Prefer experience in programming such as HTML or SQL that can be utilized to drive improvement in data management and create tools to drive efficiency improvements
