The Electronics and Communications Supply Chain Consultant role is a leveraged role that resides in a Continuous Improvement team. The CI team is accountable for determining Commercial/Demand/Supply Chain standards and also is the primary source of program/project leadership. In that scope this role supports commercial processes and an integrated approach across functions for process excellence through development and application of standard evaluation tools, metrics, training and organizational development. The scope is across E&C and extending across all Business Processes including: Commercial processes, Buy/Source, Plan Demand and Supply, Make, and Deliver. Maintains external and internal connections to ensure that the standardized elements of supply chain excellence represent industry and internal best practices. Uses Lean/Six sigma methodologies to drive excellence through program and project leadership.
This individual role is to provide in-depth commercial competency.
Provides subject matter expertise to programs and projects across E&C in the commercial process areas. Particular focus on:
DIBM – has a broad perspective and depth of knowledge of DIBM and specifically the responsibilities of the Product, Demand, IR/MBR.

Drives implementation, alignment, and execution of business processes to ensure maximum benefit is derived.
Develops and implements standard evaluation tools, metrics, training and development. Assesses external trends.
Identifies complex problems and ensures resolution through the appropriate channels. May lead and/or participate in the design, testing, and implementation of system upgrades.
Leads and/or participates in root cause analysis of problems, and appropriately communicates to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Drives business process improvements and the innovative use of integrated systems.
Uses six sigma and lean methodologies to drive commercial process excellence.
Leads internal business teams in creating or improving business, marketing, or sales strategy processes to significantly accelerate the growth and improve performance of businesses.
Resource initiatives to support Commercial improvements. Lead projects utilizing Lean/Six Sigma to accomplish necessary assigned improvement and results.
Utilizing extensive business experience and leading edge business practices and analysis techniques
Learning and analyzing the E&C business; conducting market and voice of the customer research
Identifying and engaging internal and external resources; developing business improvement plans and executing against these plans
Gaining leadership alignment and supporting sustainability of change.
Collaborating across the E&C Continuous Improvement team to ensure integrated plans and projects that support multi-functional business improvement and alignment.
Create and sell value proposition for integrated systems improvement
Identify, develop standard methodology, and help business to implement external and internal best practices.
Collaborate with the CI team in the standardization of Business and Supply Chain Processes including the integration with business systems.
Develop, and Support the implementation of standard roles including role descriptions, activities, tools, and requirements.
Assist in gap analysis and evaluations of the capability with regard to people, processes and tools.
Develop and implement programs to improve people and process competency in alignment with business excellence
Assist in development of self and team through execution of training for the standard roles by continuously identifying and communicating the specified and available education and competency requirements for business team.
Provide enablers to support improvement (e.g. websites, common databases, etc)
Commercial Process Subject Matter Expert (SME) – should be a recognized and respected SME in the Pricing, Product Management, Segmentation, Channel Management, Metrics and Reporting. External recognition helpful
Leadership skills – the ability to work with senior leadership to drive a vision for a world class demand management process which resonates.
Communication skills – must be able to effectively communicate to all stakeholders the business value associated with demand management best practices.
Sales Force, Excel & Tableau skills – Should have the ability to design new tools to test approaches to drive efficient development of improved demand processes.
Continuous Improvement – A mindset to continue to build out best practices to better meet client needs.
Business Analytics – Ability to see gaps in business analysis and propose solutions. Should be aware of current industry practices and emerging trends.
Experience / Training / Certifications
5+ years experience in Product Line Management, Sales, or Business Consulting Roles
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Black Belt Certified (preferred prior to role)
Lean Practitioner Trained and capable (preferred)
Proven improvement project leader
Recognized as leader in knowledge and execution of commercial business processes
Sales Force or similar experience
