Facebook seeks an experienced Consumer Product Marketing Leader who is passionate about using technology to help people connect with businesses and get things done in their everyday lives. This role is part of Facebook's Local team and will be focused on people to business communications. With over 65 Million active business Pages, Facebook is one of the largest business platforms in the world. And with over 1Billion messages sent between people and businesses every month, Facebook is essential to connecting people and businesses. This person will work with a cross-functional product team to define and launch solutions to help people find and communicate with businesses on Facebook, and lead the development of a narrative around the unique values Facebook can provide in helping people get things done. The ideal candidate for this role will be a consumer focused leader who can partner cross functionally to develop consumer focused initiatives that help drive product adoption. They would be responsible for thoughtfully understanding consumer needs, identifying market opportunities through research and analytics, and driving measurable results. The ideal person has an analytical mindset, excellent marketing intuition, and thrives on crafting and executing compelling marketing programs. Ideally this candidate will also have prior experience with and strong opinions on the local competitive landscape, consumer trends, and business models. Excellent communications skills and comfort with ambiguity are a must. This is a full-time position located in our Menlo Park office.

Required Skills:

  1. Develop and own a marketing strategy and plan to achieve consumer product goals

  2. Define our product's target audiences, core vale props and use cases, and develop a product narrative based on these

  3. Leverage quantitative and qualitative insights from research and analysis to influence product strategy and inform go-to-market plans

  4. Plan and lead successful marketing campaigns to efficiently drive product awareness and adoption, including creative asset development and media planning

  5. Design tests, measure impact and learn through a results-driven mindset

  6. Demonstrate a strong understanding of the broader Facebook ecosystem and competitive landscape to develop strategic product feedback and positioning

  7. Lead and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (including Product, Research, PR, Design, engineering stakeholders and more) to deliver world-class product marketing programs

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS degree

  2. 7+ years professional experience in a corporate or startup environment

  3. 4+ years working in a Consumer Product Marketing capacity (partnered with product management and/or engineering to represent market requirements and with relevant cross-functional partners to support product launches)

  4. Experience partnering with and influencing Product Management, PR, executives

  5. Experience partnering with product & cross-functional teams to identify and bring to market solutions with consumer benefit

  6. Experience problem solving and tackling problems with a creative mindset, creating recommendations and action plans for solving those problems

  7. Proven track record of grounding all consumer marketing in data - including market/segment sizing, forecasting, and working with analytics to understand efficacy of campaigns after the fact

  8. Project management skills, with experience developing and executing marketing strategy

  9. Experience thriving within a dynamic, rapidly changing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. MBA

  2. Experience with messaging products, specifically in people-to-business communications

  3. Successful track record of planning and rolling out large-scale/global marketing campaigns
