The Business Entity

Influence, manage, drive successful delivery, and incubate the bleeding edge technology known as Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) across all of Cisco’s customer base. You will be responsible for establishing, developing, and showcasing this key technology to key customers at all levels. Your work will help develop this next generation technology that will allow customers to transform their business as well as providing the foundation for future services growth.

 

The Team

The best AS trained staff in ACI technology has been working closely with the ACI Business Unit in developing critical design, migration, implementation and troubleshooting skills to assist the most demanding clients for ACI engagements.

Role & Responsibilities

Lead Architect for cutting edge technology

? Ensure successful, consistent, high quality and on time delivery of services

? Incubate and develop solution driven architectures

? Create scripts to drive automation within these solution driven architectures

? Strong Client facing skills to drive trusted advisor status with customers

? Broad technical knowledge of the data center and its components:

Applications, Storage, Network, Server and projects surrounding their planning, design, implementation, operation, and optimization.

? Architectural knowledge of virtualization tools and concepts

? Architectural knowledge of Three Tiered application environments

? Expert familiarity with cloud computing concepts including virtualization, web services API's, elastic infrastructure, distributed data storage (database, block, object), multi-tenancy, and metered usage patterns.

? Experience with scriptinglanguages such as Perl, Python, or Bash. Python experience is strongly preferred.

? In depth knowledge and experience with virtualization tools and concepts, SAN, Server technologies and data center and cloud Operations.

? Networking: OSI Layer 2 (Spanning tree, vPC, EtherChannel, VLAN, etc), Layer 3 switching /routing (OSPF, EIGRP, ISIS, BGP, MPLS, IPv4/6), DNS/DHCP WAN/ISP, network virtualization (N1kv, VRF), basics of higher layer protocols: SSL/TLS, HTTP, real-time traffic (voice/video), NFS, database access protocols

? Compute technologies: x86, hypervisor (Openstack/KVM), OS (Linux/Windows), workload mobility

? Understands and can articulate the value and business advantage of data center virtualization techniques and cloud architectures

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

? 10-15years customer facing experience

? CCIE Preferred

? demonstrated leadership of large complex projects

? Ability to think “outside of the box”

? Bachelordegree

 

 

Desired Skills

? Application Environments, including tiers

? Consulting Experience

? Strong Data Center Knowledge

? Programming Experience (Python, XML) and *nix systems (Unix, Linux, etc.)

? Programmatic control of infrastructure element
