The team member will work to supports all Data Systems both Oracle and SQL Server focusing on tasks related to building an effective, usable data systems environment used to support business systems. As a member of the team, team member will provide onsite and remote support to our users who have critical issues related to their business technology systems. Candidate must be a self-starter, and demonstrate the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment comprising

  • Administer and manage databases (Oracle and SQL Server) across all environments (production, UAT, development, disaster recovery).
  • Work with the Unix and windows system administration, network, and storage teams. The candidate will also work closely with the Applications Development team to assist and resolve issues.

  • Detailed hands on execution of all tasks related to production support, database upgrade and migration, and performance improvement.

  • Evaluate the new versions of database software. Perform performance, scalability, availability, programmability comparisons with the existing version.


  • Looking for a strong and technically oriented Oracle DBA. Must have 8+ years of experience with Oracle database administration in a mission-critical capacity, preferably in financial services. MS SQL Server experience would be a plus, but it is not a requirement. However, If the candidate is not strong in MS SQL, they will be trained and need to become strong as well as Oracle.

  • Working knowledge of UNIX, Storage Area Networks, and Windows servers.

  • Working knowledge of Shell scripting (i.e. KSH, CSH)

  • Candidate must be experienced in Oracle database upgrades, including the project management and problem resolution associated with the upgrade of large databases. Must have strong 11g experience. Direct hands-on experience with Oracle 12c is a big plus.
