Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serves as an internal consultant to Executive Level clients
  • Leads or participates in high impact consulting projects that deliver customer-focused results aligned with strategic and operational goals of the Enterprise
  • Obtains and shares internal and external learning and knowledge throughout the Enterprise on topics such as problem-solving techniques, corporate strategy, alliance strategy, and consulting methodologies, tools and processes
  • Facilitates identification, review and analysis of strategic issues and advises regarding development and implementation of strategy at enterprise, division, and business-unit level
  • Learns, develops, selects and effectively utilizes consulting methodologies, tools and processes to address business areas issues and to achieve project objectives
  • Provides information and assistance in the engagement and management of external management consultants
  • Provides senior decision-makers with tools for development and implementation at enterprise and business-unit levels and facilitates their use
  • Assists in developing, leading and conducting executive education classes
  • Leads projects and initiatives for Corporate departments
  • Develops solutions to critical business issues and presents alternatives
  • Creates and facilitates process change with the application of change and project management principles
  • Creates and maintains a work environment conducive to teamwork, diversity, customer service, and productivity to leverage the strengths of associates in meeting enterprise goals
  • Provides support in development and translation of vision and strategy with departmental and/or business partners in enterprise strategic and tactical planning processes
  • Applies general business acumen and industry expertise in helping develop recommendations
  • May make recommendations that have a major impact across the entire enterprise
  • Participates in the development and presentation of training materials for new members of the division
  • May assist in the preparation of the annual budget and plan

Additional Details:

  • Job may require travel via commercial transportation and/or driving motor vehicles to State Farm facilities, professional association meetings, and seminars
  • High level of sensitivity and confidentiality required
  • May work irregular hours
  • May function in a supervisory capacity

Special skills needed:

  • Experience leading large scale projects using a disciplined approach and refined project management skills

  • Experienced facilitator/speaker with large audiences

  • Broad business acumen with experience spanning a cross-section of business functions

  • Effectively leverages relationships and influence to achieve desired results

  • Serves as a “Trusted Advisor” to leaders at all levels of the organization
