We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to work as a Consultant to customers in the field of a mechanical integrity.
The Consultant would primarily be responsible for performing inspections and evaluations of industrial equipment (e.g. power generation, chemical, paper mills, etc.) as follows:
Perform field inspections of industrial equipment (storage tanks, pressure vessels, piping systems, rotating equipment).
Generate calculations in accordance with API, ASME, etc.
Generate written reports
Develop ACAD drawings
Manage Projects ranging from $5,000 - $100,000
Manage field technicians
Manage client relationships
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or possibly Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Civil Engineering
Entry level to 5 years of experience in tank, vessel and piping integrity assessment, design and / or MI program management
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Dependable, team oriented, and have a positive attitude
Familiarity with standard construction codes and processes
Willing to travel up to 50%
Proficient in MS Office
Ability and willingness to meet the physical demands of climbing ladders and scaffolds, entering and working in confined spaces and often working outdoors in an industrial environment
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Any of the following certifications: API-510, API-653, API-570, STI, CWI
2+ years of experience in Mechanical Integrity
2+ years of experience in Equipment Reliability
2+ years of experience in non-destructive testing applications
Professional Engineer License or EIT
Knowledge in Compress.
Knowledge in AutoCAD
Prior military experience
