Talisman, a wholly owned subsidiary of ENERCON is seeking a Director for Reactor Regulatory Support for its Arlington, VA office. Working remotely is available, the Director would need to visit the Arlington, VA office periodically. In this role, you will provide consulting services to nuclear industry and project manage the consulting services of Talisman’s consultants.In this role, your Key Responsibilities will be to:

·         Provide consulting services to the nuclear industry on a wide range of issues including, but not limited to licensing, oversight, investigations, and enforcement.  Typical examples include leading mock NRC Supplemental Inspections, leading or assisting in root cause analysis development, assisting with NRC traditional enforcement matters, and assisting with responses to allegations.

·         Coordinate and provide project management support to Talisman’s cadre of consultants

·         Develop and maintain client relationships, which will primarily be the Regulatory Affairs Directors/Vice Presidents and their staff, General Counsel, and Engineering managers but may vary

·         Develop relationships with ENERCON Managers such that synergy of the two companies can be realized

·         Develop and maintain relationships with Talisman consultants and establish a pipeline within the NRC and industry to recruit and refresh the consultancy base

·         Understand client needs and be able to develop high quality proposals unique to the circumstances on oftentimes short notice

·         Keep abreast of evolving NRC regulatory framework and programs and industry initiativesAs a qualified candidate, you will have the above experience and meet the below requirements:

·         BS Degree in Engineering from an accredited university required;

·         20+ years of NRC experience primarily in the operating reactor arena; NRC materials and waste experience a plus;

·         Both NRC regional and headquarters experience a plus; industry experience a plus;

·         NRC Executive or Management experience required;

·         Have extensive contacts within the NRC and among former NRC executives, managers, and staff;

·         Knowledgeable of Boiling Water and Pressurized Water Reactor operations;

·         Demonstrated excellent organizational, time management, strategic planning, writing, communication, decision-making, and presentation skills;

·         Capability and willingness to grow into the business end of the company such as developing business plan, managing financials, and mastering the company project management and accounting system;

·         Ability to travel between 15-25% of the timeduration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks

·         Ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings; ENERCON and client specific background checks; and an annual motor vehicle record (MVR) according to company and client policies
