What you will be doing


The Analytics Consultant serves as a point of contact for client analytics needs, helping our customers better serve patients and improve the delivery and use of their products. The Analytics Consultant will lead efforts with our emerging and mid-size portfolio clients. The Analytics Consultant will be working under the direction of Senior Managers and Directors.

The Analytics Consultant works closely with customers to build strong relationships which facilitate effective interactions and showcase the value of our services. Consultants also will leverage their technical and analytics skills to prepare and deliver finished analysis. Consultants are expected to perform work for internal and external stakeholders with a mid-level of complexity and workload. They will also engage with clients to help them understand what types of services are available and will help facilitate services growth with clients. Consultants will receive oversight and guidance from more senior staff for more complex efforts. Consultants are expected to provide mentoring and development support to junior staff.

Consultants will:

  • lead discovery sessions with key stakeholders to understand strategic program goals, and then align Lash’s data and analytical services to support those goals
  • oversee the delivery of actionable, data-driven insights and recommendations to aid in the decision-making process, applying data visualization best practices to effectively tailor the message to the various target audiences
  • communicate program status with key stakeholders and escalate issues or opportunities
  • use their business and analytics knowledge to explore improvement opportunities with clients, and propose innovative ways to deliver results

The Analytics Consultant applies insights gleaned from these analyses to assist the client in crafting data-driven strategies to meet their strategic goals.


  1. Client Analytics Strategy
    • Assist design for a comprehensive strategy for analytics deliverables for assigned clients. This includes advanced analytics, reports, data integration, program SOP and system design, as well as a plan to achieve analysis-related goals for program stakeholders
  2. Understand Analytic Needs and Prepare Deliverables
    • Collaborate with Sr. Analytics Consultants, client representatives and Operations stakeholders to understand the services within scope and analytics needs
    • Assess tasks and timelines required for delivery
    • Prepare analytics data
    • Perform analysis and prepare deliverables
    • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices
  3. Data Consulting
    • Engage directly with client stakeholders to understand business, reporting, and analytics needs, then represent the client's business needs internally at Lash Group to establish the planning and delivery to meet the requirements. Data Consulting includes:
      • consulting, guidance and recommendations to the client, as needed, on how to interpret and understand data
      • System Design Consulting
      • Data design specifications
  4. Direct-Request Consulting and Reporting
    • Act as the Point of Contact for client’s direct requests for consulting support, reporting and analytics
    • Ensure deliveries meet client timing and quality expectations
    • Collaborate with other resources as required to meet client needs
    • Responsible for ensuring deliverables meet client expectations from both depth of data and insights, as well as leveraging data visualization best practices to ensure finalized outputs are tailored to effectively support the goals of the target audience
    • Recommends additional analysis opportunities to add value (e.g. additional segmentation analyses) or proactively recommends ad hoc reporting and analysis opportunities to help client meet their strategic program goals
  5. Provide consulting support on analytics solutions (program design, report design, data feed design, data aggregation, etc.)
  6. Act as the consulting and insights expert, leading the way in data discovery, both proactively and by request, to identify key insights and trends to help drive strategic recommendations
  7. Act as the voice of the client internally at Lash Group to ensure data solutions are provided with high-quality to meet the client’s needs
  8. Responsible for development and documentation of data strategy and related intermediate deliverables such as business rules, analytics requirements, and providing assistance with data definitions
  9. Responsible for the preparation and development of Executive Business Reviews
  10. Place a heavy emphasis on the customer experience with each interaction and deliverable
  11. Play an active role in business reviews, especially during analysis findings sections and strategic planning discussions
  12. Play a lead role, acting as the voice of the client, in designing data feeds with data sources and creating actionable deliverables, providing business recommendations based on insights extracted from the analysis
  13. Deliver ad hoc reporting and analytics within an agreed-upon SLA
  14. Provide recommendations on report design, particularly in regard to data visualization best practices
  15. Develop others by developing and training analytics best practices across programs with other stakeholders, both for the client and Lash Group, such as how to interpret/understand data, how to best integrate data with a particular 3rd party, etc.
  16. Leverage data integration best practices to provide guidance and recommendations on best practices around integration of internal and external data sources to ensure our clients benefit from rich, robust, data environments to help support advanced analytics & reporting goals for the program
  17. Support customer questions and issues related to analytics deliverables

What your background should look like (minimum qualifications)


  • Industry experience in pharmaceutical, payer, or health services industry
  • Understanding of healthcare services delivery and the patient experience
  • Ability to create new or leverage existing analysis models and apply them to aligned program using industry knowledge
  • Requires experience in querying and structuring relational databases using SQL, with 5 or more years of experience
  • Completion of a four year Bachelors’ degree program, preferably with an emphasis in mathematics, statistics, or data and analytics
  • Advanced analytics experience including advanced modeling techniques desirable
  • Requires expertise in business intelligence platforms such as Qlik, Tableau or like platforms, with 5 or more years of experience
  • Requires extensive training and knowledge of data visualization best practices
  • Must have high-level knowledge of Excel, Word, and Power Point
