Overview / Responsibilities

Manages project construction quality personnel in the performance of day to day functions applicable to Quality Management System activities.  Acts as a liaison with client on all matters related to quality for assigned projects.

 

  • BS degree in business or engineering or commensurate level of industry experience. (10 years)

 

  • Technical certifications/accreditations in inspection/NDE/code activities at highest level.

 

  • ISOAudit training and certification required.

 

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in an engineering or oil and gas environment and a minimum 3 years auditexperience (oil & gas industry required).

 

  • Fully conversant with ISO 9001 standard and administrative, operational, systems and management controls.

 

  • Advance understanding of economic conditions affecting the assignment (cost, margins, profit impact of decision) and external factors affecting the project/business.

 

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products.

 

  • Ability with supporting skills to communicate to senior (project) management the core values of quality management as an integral part of project delivery.

 

  • Applies basic knowledge of Company/Project operations, policies and procedures.

 

  • Basic understanding of trends affecting the assignment.

 

  • Strong management skills including managing project resources and budget.

 

  • Strong oral and written communication skills with good vocabulary and grammar. Excellent interpersonal skills.

 

  • Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one situations. Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of staff and management, both internal and external.

 

  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential or sensitive information or issues.

 

  • Ability to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule agreed with manager (may require working an adjusted work schedule based on project assigned and work overtime if warranted).

 

Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations, the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and other Company policies and procedures.

Skills / Qualifications

Manages and oversees site quality personnel and activities.

 

Manages inspection checks on quality of workmanship, equipment and materials, to ensure ompliance to codes and specifications as well as reporting of same. Ensures the calibration, testing, certification and maintenance of construction equipment is compliant.

Manages the issuance of and monitoring of non-conformance reports, corrective action reports and preventative action reports to align compliance of codes, standards, spec and manufacturer’s recommendations.

Surveillance of sub-contracts based on work performance, to ensure compliance to Quality requirements.

Stewards the preparation, review and approval of ITPs from Construction Contractors.

Develops and implements Construction Quality Plan (CQP) and Site Quality Audit Plan to verify compliance of the Quality Management System by Wood and the Construction Contractors. Provides specific, timely, and independent measurement of compliance by Client participants.

Manages the work of Quality project service contractors within established cost and schedule targets.

Provides input into solving, with engineering, project technical problems / constructability issues. Provides quality expertise and advise in the proactive resolution of compliance issues (i.e. codes, standards, specifications, and regulations).

Stewards project quality reporting requirements and prepares weekly / monthly Stewardship reports on Construction quality.
