TRC is seeking an onsite Construction Project Manager to join our growing Engineering, Construction and Remediation Practice. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual looking for career growth and have a minimum 20 years' experience managing construction projects involving heavy civil/mechanical work. TRC's Greenville and Madison offices are vibrant, dynamic, and fast-paced work environments that provides access to a broad spectrum of professional experiences in an office that thrives on team-work.

Our Construction Project Managers:

  • Work on multiple heavy civil/mechanical, demolition, and remediation projects across the United States, both in the field and in an office environment.

  • Estimate and establish budgets for construction projects

  • Write proposals

  • Perform project set up and active management within Project Financial Management system (Vision)

  • Responsible for overall project safety and quality

  • Verify time and expense (labor, material, equipment, subcontracts) are allocated to projects accurately for financial reporting

  • Prepare requisitions and purchase orders for materials, equipment, and field supplies; track actual expense against committed expense

  • Perform project scheduling; Microsoft project experience will suffice

  • Prepare for and participate in monthly project financial reviews

  • Prepare and administer contracts & subcontracts

  • Manage financials of construction/remediation projects

  • Recognize and understand working application and production capacity of various types of heavy construction equipment

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 20 yearsof direct construction experience working in the field with heavy equipment and construction equipment operators and laborers.

  • Experience in leading teams and directing complex construction projects in the environmental and infrastructure industries.

  • Experience negotiating subcontracts and managing subcontractors

  • Ability to travel for extended periods of time.

  • Expertise in Construction Cost Estimating and Scheduling

  • Ability to communicate effectively and proactively with the TRC design and client management team, Owner's on-site representative, other contractors, landowners, stakeholders and regulatory and government officials regarding the project, as required

  • Proven financial management of fixed price construction projects, unit rate construction projects, and cost plus (time and expense) construction projects

  • Expertise evaluating construction progress against costs and schedule expended

  • Experience forecasting cost to complete when required

  • Focus on job site safety, quality, and customer satisfaction

Preferred Qualifications:

In addition to the basic qualifications the qualifications below are highly desired but not required:

  • Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering

  • 20 years direct construction experience with exposure to environmental remediation.

  • Exposure to light mechanical work; primarily pumps and piping.

  • Experience in environmental construction is desired inclusive of heavy civil remediation, soil blending, landfill closure, transportation and disposal.

  • Experience with light demolition work such as tank, piping, and foundation demolition.

  • Current OSHA and HAZWOPER training certifications.
