Construction Project Manager, JOC

Our client is a Texas strong company with multiple offices through the region. The Lead JOC Project Manager will be headquartered in Dallas with travel throughout the region as the project requires. As the Program Manager or Lead Project Manager, you will pilot the municipalities and public sector contracting programs. Extensive support will be provided and for the right person with General Manager potential, a strong team will be built around you.  Prior work is Job Order Contracting or JOD or public sector construction Project Managing is a preferred.

In this role, you utilize your detailed Rolodex and industry contacts for introductions and wins of construction opportunities. You will manage projects, our role may include overseeing progress at a construction site, interfacing with both the constructioncontractors, engineers, and supporting personnel. In addition to maintaining the project schedule and budget, you will review invoices, negotiate and enforce terms of the project contracts, and maintain oversite and responsibility for assigned projects. As the Lead PM, you will oversee projects run by the Project Managers providing advice, guidance, and training when necessary. You will be responsible for the overall direction of the public project. You must work in conjunction with city and county policies and applicable laws.

Manage, oversee and mentor a team of project managers and project coordinators. Manage, review and coordinate the design and construction of projects assigned to the team. Assist, informs and consults with the Director and Assistant Director concerning the status of projects. Provides departmental interface and responds to customer complaints and concerns. Coordinates projects with utilities, business and community leaders. Develops and implements departmental standard operating procedures. Contributes to team effort by performing other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Experience

? A Bachelor's degree is a plus but not required

? At least 5 years of recent relevant experience

? Strong industry contacts and relationships

? Knowledge and understanding of Job Order Contracting or JOC

?Experience in Public Sector Construction working with the City, County, School Districts, or Municipalities

? A valid Driver's License

? PMP or MPM is a plus but not required

? Knowledge of municipal government purchasing

? RS Means or eGordian is a plus but not required
