AECOM is seeking a Construction Project Manager in Wellington, FL. The Construction Project Manager will supervise all staff at Herbert Hoover Dike and will be working along side the US Army Corps of Engineers.
He/She will oversee the project in it's entirely and will manage scope, schedule, budget, and expectations to facilitate any action from inception to closure and manage the development and execution of the contract from inception to closure by tasking, tracking, and providing support.
Provides guidance to employees within the latitude of established policies.
Establishes procedures that affect immediate organization.
Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including understanding of current business trends.
Acts as adviser to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.
May have budgetresponsibilities.
Erroneous decision or failure to achieve results adds to costs and may impact short-term goals of organization.
Oversees the administration of projects during the construction cycle including technical, financial, and client satisfaction.
Accountable for the development, coordination, and execution of the planning, design and/or construction management activities and personnel under individual's direction on a day-to-day.
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree.
Minimum of 8+ years of civil works management experience or related technical fields conducting Quality Assurance surveillance and construction project management.
Demonstrate experience with MS Excel and Word.
Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely with written and verbal communication. Must be a good communicator.
Capacity to exercise independent judgment and initiative for large scale complex construction projects.
Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check; many projects/clients are security sensitive.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
Physically able, with or without an accommodation, to work and walk in outdoor/construction site environments with uneven terrain, variable outdoor conditions including heat, cold, noise, and moisture. Position requires often standing/walking; occasionally perform repetitive bending and stooping, operation of vehicles, climbing of stairs, keyboard/mouse operations, repetitive or fine hand movements, work alone in isolated/remote areas, and lifting less than 25 pounds; rarely working with arms above shoulder level, power gripping/squeezing (hand tools, levers, etc.), working at heights, working in an environment of heavy, moving, dangerous equipment, working in confined spaces, and lifting of 25 - 50 pounds. Position will include wearing associated personal protective equipment.
