The time is right to join HNTB! HNTB is currently seeking a Resident Engineer – Construction Manager in the Dallas, TX area. This assignment will onsite with our client in Irving Texas.
Responsible for overall field management of HNTB's contract, administration and coordination on mid to large size projects of a diverse and complex nature. Monitors activities of assigned staff for conformance with contractual requirements. Provides technical leadership for complex or unique assignments. Reviews drawings, specifications, and installation of constructability. May recommend changes to design. Represents projects at meetings and conferences.
- Reads and interprets complex contract documents.
- Monitors Contractor progress and compares with reviewed Progress Schedule.
- Provides guidance and training to inspection staff. Mentors and trains staff.
- Administers JPIs and Budget.
- Collects data to brief Client on project issues and provides possible resolutions.
- Reviews and drafts responses to Contractors correspondence as required.
- Prepares Summary InspectionReport of Daily Activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
PE or RA
3+ years construction management experience with aviation facility or facilities projects
Individual must be able to pass security back ground check
General Work Conditions
Combination Office and Field Environment: Most work is performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to potentially unpleasant working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently and reach horizontally as well as vertically for overhead use. Work may infrequently be performed at client’s job site,construction trailer, and in the field. Work may sometimes require working in inclement weather, working in aconstruction site, being exposed to heavyconstruction equipment and doing extensive walking. Adherence to applicable safety protocol isrequired.
