DEA is currently seeking a Construction Manager to join our Rail Group in Dallas, TX. The Constructionresponsibilities will be diverse and include onsite construction observation and management of various aspects of rail projects for railroads, public agencies and private developers. The primary function of this role is to perform field construction observation, manage the progression of the construction work, and facilitate coordination between clients and contractors. Travel within the state of Texas and to locations west of the Mississippi River will be required, based on project demands.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of working on or overseeing construction projects
  • Ability to travel on a per project basis
  • Ability to read and comprehend plans, specifications, and instructions
  • Possess good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • Previous experience working on railroad construction projects
  • Previous experience working on construction projects with earthwork and/or structural components
