We are an exciting, fast-paced and innovative premier Western United States railroad contracting firm that specializes in track design and construction, inspection and maintenance, rehabilitation, and transit construction services.

Due to continuing growth and increasing demand for our services, we are in need of hiring for a Project Manager / Construction Manager for our Los Angeles, CA market.

What You Will Be Doing

The Project Manager provides management oversight for all phases of construction projects, including coordinating employees, subcontractors, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding with quality, on schedule and within budget. Manages and oversees all aspects of a project to ensure it is completed on-time and within budget. Has overall responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, internal staffing and outside vendors, and contractual deliverable. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project. Reports to a unit/departmental manager as appropriate.

Construction managers are a part of the building process from the very beginning, working closely with architects and engineers to go over plans and blueprints, making timetables for the project, determining material and labor costs, negotiating with and hiring subcontractors and workers, scheduling workers on site, gathering permits and making sure everything is up to code. Construction managers, often called general contractors or project managers, coordinate and supervise projects. Construction managers oversee specialized contractors and other personnel. They schedule and coordinate all constructionprocesses so that projects meet design specifications. They ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.

What You Need for this Position

-Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Economics or related field preferred

-3-5 years experience as a constructionestimator and project management

$90K - $130K
