What You'll Do:

  • Route planning.

  • Serve as a single-point of contact between Construction Superintendent and construction execution.  Providing accurate status information on the progress of the project.

  • Lead construction personal.

  • Work with Railroads, CalTrans, Cities, Counties and Utilities ensuring timely project progress.

  • Accountable for managing the overall field performance, including scope, safety, quality, implementation and customer satisfaction of assigned construction crew.

  • Perform site pre-inspections and coordinate post-constructionaudits.

  • Create and maintain appropriate as build documentation updating management.

  • Work flexible hours, which could include nights and weekends.

  • Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic that can provide high productivity with minimal supervision.

  • Perform all work as necessary to conform to quality control guidelines (includes compliance with requirements outlined in applicable regulations such as: OSHA, FCC, NESC and NEC, etc.).

  • Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.

Must Haves:

  • Ability to adhere to Local, Federal regulations and Company policies.

  • Proficient with construction equipment, hand tools, locators, rodders, direction bore machine.

  • Ability to carry, climb and operate extension ladder, (approx. 28 ft high and 75 pounds).

  • Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds.

  • Ability to drive company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.

  • 5 years+ experience with outside plant construction.

  • Ability to think creatively and strategically.

  • Effective communication skills are essential as is a cooperative attitude toward co-workers, customers and contractors.

  • Excellent organization and time management skills.

  • Ability to interact effectively with other team members.

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to adhere to Local, Federal regulations and Company policies.

  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, with a satisfactory driving record.
