The Connected Vehicle Health Prognostic Engineer plays an integral role in product development, deployment, and ongoing support of prognostic vehicle health features. This position interfaces and supports various PD, Advanced engineering and Connected Vehicle teams to deliver some of the most advanced vehicle health feature capabilities.


• Coordinate and support the development and delivery of prioritized prognostic features

• Identify new prognostic opportunities including technical feasibility, use case, and data requirements and sampling rates

• Support both GTDS and Agile prognostic projects

• Support feature calibration reviews and development

• Build and leverage relationships with personnel in PD, CVPP, R&AE, GDI&A, FordPass, FCSD, and others in support of FCSD's POV on Connected Vehicle service capabilities

• Represent Prognostics at internal and external meetings such as governance, innovation forums, and cross-functional venues

• Work with complex cross-functional global teams to support prioritization and deployment cadence

Skills and Experiences

• Research and engineering experience is preferred

• Engineering BS required

• Working knowledge of Connected Vehicle technology

• Working knowledge of Automotive Diagnostic & Repair

• Ability to effectively lead a diverse organization and handle both strategic and tactical assignments in a timely manner

• Passion for finding and developing future connected vehicle features

• Strong interpersonal and team building skills with an ability to lead with influence

• Keen ability to multi task in an entrepreneurial environment

• A demonstrated process discipline with strong analytical skills

• Strong communication both verbal and written

• Ability to effectively manage confidential and sensitive projects

• Strong project management skills -- Strong data analysis and decision-making abilities.
