Halfaker has an opening for a Configuration Manager to join our talented, dynamic team. The key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Works as part of the Shared Services team to support all web and mobile application development configuration management needs
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and teaming partners; proactively development progress and performance and stakeholder priorities, and be able to adjust technical team direction accordingly
  • Develops and maintains the Configuration Management Plan for the program, including tracking of delivery and installation of configurable items utilizing automation wherever possible
  • Monitor and support traceability of deployment activities and items in the production and test spaces
  • Maintains system baselines and traceability for all new releases and subsequent patching, updates, and fixes to provide a complete deployment picture for the web and mobile applications available in the space

Required Skills

  • Experience with DHA configuration and release processes
  • Knowledge of DoD Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices and procedures
  • Previous experience with BMC Remedy for ticketing Configuration Items and Deployment activities
  • Highly motivated and able to take initiative
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Social Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline
  • Secret Security Clearance Required
  • 3-5 years of software delivery/release experience preferred
  • DoD Healthcare IT experience preferred
