Perspecta has an immediate/upcoming need for aConfiguration Management Analyst (Senior)in the Belleville, IL area.


Perspecta is currently looking for dedicated, dependable, and reliable Senior Level Configuration Management Analyst to support the upcoming GSMO-II contract with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). DISA provides network operations management support to its national security customers via Department of Defense (DoD) Information Networks/Defense Information System Network (DODIN/DISN) capabilities which are deployed and operated worldwide. DODIN/DISN capabilities are functionally a system-of-systems entity that is in a continuing sustainment phase of its life cycle.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze approved production change releases and coordinate with engineering, implementations, operations teams as required to ensure that changes are implemented and documented per the standard.
  • Perform day-to-day tasks including but not limited to, responding to customer inquiries for metric reporting, data validation audits, data cleansing activities, discovery/reconciliation actions, etc.
  • Perform various methods of data/metric collection; automated report creation utilizing Configuration Management tools as well as manual methods (i.e., GUI, command line, etc.).
  • Perform manual validation of baseline configuration for a wide variety of network appliances and applications by accessing via GUI, command line and performing commands to display the required configuration data.
  • Analyze network infrastructure and configuration issues that result in discovery failures.
  • Review and analyze device SNMP, SSH, TELNET, etc configurations for undiscovered network appliances, work with internal and external teams to report findings and resolve discovery issues.


Qualifications


Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • May have Master's degree in related field.
  • Often holds entry-level certification(s) in work field.
  • May hold intermediate-level certification(s) in work field.
  • Requires at least 8+ years of relevant IT experience
  • DoD 8570 certification at IAT level II Security+ CE
  • DoD Secret Security Clearance with eligibility for Singe Scope Background Investigation (SSBI)



Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Qualifications:
  • Experience working in IT ticketing systems such as BMC Remedy or ServiceNow
  • Experience working with one of the following:
  • Cisco and Juniper Routers
  • Firewalls
  • Optical Transport equipment CIENA 6500, CIENA Corestream, CISCO MSPP etc
  • Call Managers, VoIP Gateways
  • Hardware/Software Configuration Management Experience
  • Change Management, understanding of Engineering Review Board & Change Control Board process
  • Strong written and verbal communications and collaboration skills
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • ITIL v3 Foundation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Familiarity with creating and running queries/reports on incident and change tickets from IT ticketing systems
  • Create/Maintain/Delete Configuration Items
