Ancillary Services, a division of Housing and Food Services, is seeking a candidate for the position of Senior Commons Desk Manager. The primary duties of this position include supervision of the Commons Desk operations and staff, including full-time and student employees; hiring and training employees; ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to; overseeing residential student mail and package delivery; maintaining proper service levels at desk operations for student and guest check-in/out, customer information, equipment sign-out, fax services, mail/package pickup, room key distribution/inventory, etc.; ensuring proper handling of all cash transactions/credit card processing; complying with accounting procedures; and overseeing of key inventory and core change process. Provideing support to the summer conference/camp programs. Work hours may vary, and may include evening/weekend hours as required. A strong commitment to diversity and inclusion is required.
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher in hospitality or business-related discipline plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
