Summary:The Director of Compliance is a liaison to assigned CHS divisional markets of employed physician practices. This position provides support for compliance policies and procedure development and implementation, auditing and monitoring, training and education, eligibility screening, compliance investigations, corrective actions, and reports. The Director of Compliance has significant interaction with affiliates (C-suites and Compliance & Privacy Officers) Corporate Division leadership, Corporate Physician Practice Services, Physician Practice Services Coding and Documentation, PPS-CBO, and other departments.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:â€¢Ensure full implementation of the CHS Corporate Compliance Program at each physician practice market assigned to the Director.â€¢Develop or direct training and education programs for regulatory changes and topics identified as potentialrisk areas.â€¢Structure tools for use with compiling data and trend analysis.â€¢Collect and analyze original data source documents for various complianceaudits andinvestigations (e.g., physician codingaudits).â€¢Assessauditing and monitoring trends and coordinate mitigation activities when opportunities for improvement (audit variances) are identified.â€¢Prepare oral and writtenreports, including recommendations for improvement based onaudit,investigative findings, and site surveys.â€¢Audit Facility Compliance Committee minutes to ensure adequate follow-up of potentialrisk areas in thereporting for physician practice elements.â€¢Maintain an awareness of current laws, statutes, regulations, etc. that impacthealthcare operations and physician relationships.â€¢Maintain comprehensive knowledge of coding concepts including Current Procedural Terminology, HCPCS and ICD-10-CM â€¢Direct focused complianceaudits on topics of concern.â€¢Coordinate compliance policy development and/or revision, when necessary.â€¢Conduct, direct, or participate in compliance and privacyinvestigations.â€¢Otherduties as assigned by the Senior Director, Compliance and Privacy and the SVP, Corporate Compliance and Privacy Officer
Education and Experience:Bachelorâ€™s degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, Business, or related area, or combined education and three or more yearsâ€™ experience in compliance and physician practice operations or revenue cycle management.
