  • Monitors regulatory environment and assesses the impact on the Annuity portfolio; recommends changes to align with market and strategic shifts
  • Gathers and analyzes intelligence from a variety of internal and external sources
  • Provides leaders with concise summaries of relevant trends with recommendations on how trends impact the Annuity products, solutions and strategies
  • Develops timely, effective sales tools to position our Annuity portfolio and value proposition
  • Partners with external research vendors to influence their survey design, submit data on behalf of MassMutual and interpret results when published; Continually identifies and recommends new market resources
  • Acts as a trusted partner across the key functions of Innovation, Product Development, Marketing, and Sales
  • Collaborates with internal clients to identify needs , business issues and objectives based on a current understanding of consumers, competitors and the marketplace
  • Consults with stakeholders, delivers presentations that translate analytical insights into tangible, actionable solutions for leaders and business partners
  • Develops and maintains a network of industry contacts to proactively monitor the marketplace and ethically acquire information
  • Distills information into concise summaries and tools for diverse internal audiences
  • Produces detailed comparisons of competitor products, positioning & strategy
  • Handles projects with a sense of urgency
  • Prioritizes & re-prioritizes projects based on business need
  • Continuously strives to improve the output (analyses)


  • Bachelor’s degree required and 5+ years of relevant work experience in Annuities
  • Experience with Annuity market research firms & databases
  • Proven ability to interpret large sets of data and effectively communicate data trends
  • Ability to partner with key constituents to support strategic and tactical development
  • Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients at all levels
  • Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A motivated, self-starter with a demonstrated track record of consistently meeting and/or exceeding performance expectations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
