As our new Competitive Intelligence Manager, you are the consummate team player, adept at managing relationships, collaborating, and influencing across a variety of organizational functions. You will be an expert on UR’s products and services. You will understand, capture, and communicate the company’s competitive strengths and key areas for improvement. You will be the “go to” person who provides product management, R&D and sales with the key proof points to close the deal over competing providers.
You should be prepared to make decisions with imperfect information, know how to lead without authority and be comfortable managing ambiguity and complexity. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy that includes a big-picture vision and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must also enjoy spending time in the market to understand market problems and master the competitive intelligence of rival solutions for the broader market. You are a strategist who will translate UR’s strengths in ease of use, flexibility, and value for the customer into actionable competitive strategies.
It’s key that you are tech savvy and passionate about robots, and that you have excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties. Communication skills are likewise very important in this role, as you will need to communicate at all levels. Therefore, you are a team player, adept at managing relationships and influencing, and you are comfortable holding professional conversations with a wide range of clients, from robot specialists to business owners.
