This position is responsible for:
defining and driving the chapter strategy and objectives
developing the competencies and skills of the chapter’s people
ensuring resources are skilled in current development technologies, and positioned to evolve to the latest, more future oriented development technologies
defining and executing on a learning curriculum
implementing tools, best practices and methodologies (including agile) across the competency
building and maintaining relationships with key vendor partners (e.g. testing and software) and ensuring SLA (Service Level Agreement) performance standards are enforced
collaborating with other Chapters and the Digital Program Groups (DPG) to identify resource needs and provide skilled resources to deliver on key initiatives
providing coaching, guidance and performance management to the chapter’s resources
leading all organizational development and HR related aspects of the chapter including: recruiting, talent management, performance management, succession planning, other
collecting real-time feedback on your Chapter resources from the end users and leaders they support to drive continuous improvements to increase productivity, optimize the customer experience, and reduce costs and risks through innovation, operational, and technological enhancement
Key Challenges include letting go of day-to-day focus, shifting attention to building the right capabilities and helping match talent to the right roles and value-creation opportunities.
Skills & Qualifications
At least 10 years of continuous IT and business/industry work experience with at least 7 years managing large teams.
Experience in leading core capabilities in the competency area and at least 7 years focused on the competency area (IT development/QA and UI/UX teams with at least 7 years focused on delivery with digital technologies).
Bachelor’s Degree in IT/Computer related field (advanced degree preferred).
Solid understanding and proven track record leveraging industry best practices and standards including, key concepts in the core competency areas (modern architecture and development practices, ITIL and SDLC).
Solid understanding of and proven track record within the core competency (cloud capabilities, web and mobile applications).
Solid understanding for Agile Frameworks and DevOps methodologies.
Strong expertise in the competency area (Digital Technologies and proficient understanding of Enterprise Applications).
Solid expertise and proven track record being proactive, forward thinking and future oriented.
