The Compensation Manager will:

  • Develop and maintain compensation programs in line with business objectives to attract and retain employees
  • Conduct job evaluation and salary surveys; establish salary structures; and, develop salary budgets and preparing policies and procedures to ensure the achievement of equitable and competitive employee compensation
  • Work with Line Management to assess competitive market trends
  • Proactively determine gaps to market and present recommendations to senior management for domestic and international markets
  • Maintain a working knowledge of US Federal and State as well as international legislation and labor contracts that may affect compensation policies
  • Assist facilitating the long term incentive program, annual bonus administration process, and othercompensation policies and programs
  • Assist in preparing certain materials for the Compensation Committee of the Board, including, final Year-End recommendations and any ongoing program changes for merit, incentive, and bonus and equity programs for both domestic and global salary planning, primarily at the executive level
  • Manage market data collection and analysis processes and develop systems to report salary ranges and changes in local, regional and national markets
  • Conduct ongoing research for improving effectiveness of compensation plans as it relates to market competitiveness to attract and retain employees
  • Serve as a main point of contact with the external company Executive Compensation Consultant


  • 6+ years of Compensation experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, and/or a related field
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local regulations, and legislation that impacts compensation / pay
  • Working knowledge of HRIS systems
  • Microsoft Excel proficient
  • Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
  • Able to multitask efficiently and effectively

Desired Skills

  • Master's Degree in a related field
  • Public Company Executive Compensation experience
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
  • Experience with supporting strategies for Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiations
