Position Summary:
The Compensation Manager position will work with a cross functional team including HR and Total Rewards colleagues and Business Leaders throughout the organization.  This position is responsible for compensation program management, analytics, process improvements and system maintenance.  This position reports to the Executive Director of Total Rewards.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Compensation Program Management, Workday System Maintenance, Process improvement (50%)

  • Prepare and manage process for the company’s Annual Merit & Bonus Process for US and India through athena’s Workday system
  • Identify gaps, best practices, process improvements, and automation opportunities to optimize usage of Workday to improve efficiency and drive scale
  • Compensation lead responsible for the implementation of key compensation initiatives within HR systems
  • Team expert for Workday relating to compensation modules

Compensation and HR Analytics (35%):

  • Assist with job structure and compensation range analysis
  • Manage data collection and analysis for annual review of the company’s compensation position achievement against strategy
  • Partner with FP&A team to accurately forecast company’s annual corporate bonus pool quarterly
  • Ensure compensation plan compliance, data maintenance and accuracy of reporting
  • Develop and deliver key ad hoc HR metrics and analysis

Training, Communication and Other (15%)

  • Lead training and communications as needed for internal HR teams and managers as related to key projects and compensation system changes
  • Provide compensation expertise and recommendations as requested
  • Owner of compensation content on athena’s internal employee communication portal
  • Provide analytical and system support for due diligence and integration related to any M&A activity
  • Maintain understanding of applicable compensationlaws and regulations and stay current on industry practices

Education, Experience, & Skills Required:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ progressive experience as a compensation analyst with demonstrated experience managing compensation programs within a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Strong FLSA knowledge and experience with job description analysis
  • Bachelor’s degreerequired
  • Professional certification preferred (CCP and/or CCA) 
  • Experience with Workday; strong PowerPoint and advanced Excel skills
