The Compensation Consultant is responsible for providing consultative subject matter expertise, guidance and analysis to assigned hospitals and/or business units to help meet business objectives while ensuring internal equity, external competitiveness and compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations. The Consultant works cross-functionally with Leadership, Human Potential Business Partners, Employment, Labor/Employee Relations, Finance, and Legal to understand business issues and collectively develop comprehensive compensation strategies across the system and assigned business unit(s). These typically involve more difficult and complex issues, including Tier 3 (escalated) ERC case support. Manages and coordinates key elements of various compensation programs, in an effort to design and deliver effective and efficient service across the System and assigned hospitals and/or business unit(s). Programs may include compensation planning/budgeting, market competitiveness reviews, physician/advanced provider compensation analysis/administration, incentive plan design and/or administration and equity analysis. Ensures compensation practices and strategies are followed consistently across all regions, and managers/employees receive the highest quality of service.
Seven years experience in Compensation, to include experience researching complex compensation issues and developing innovative recommendations for solutions in a large organization, preferably in health care.
Experience in Physician and Provider Compensation a plus
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required
Graduate degree preferred
Certification in related area desirable (i.e. CCP, CBP, PHR)
