challenging opportunity for an experienced Compensation professional to join
our team. Reporting to the Project lead and Sr. Manager, Compensation, the
incumbent’s primary role is to provide compensation consultation and salary analysis for our North American
Environmental Services business line and provide project support through job
description content development as we implement a job description tool, and
transition to a new career level framework globally. This position
is geared towards a client focused individual with demonstrated consulting
capabilities and a proactive approach to compensation. Join our
collaborative compensation team and play an integral role delivering
compensation consulting services.
Engage with the HR Business Partners andBusiness Managers to diagnose compensation issues and guide Businessleaders and managers on the application of compensation guidelines,policies and practices to optimize compensation programs and tools insupport of organization goals.
Develop and present salary analyses and advise HR and leaderson pay management actions, strategies and offer development.
Create and validate job descriptions in a highly diverse businessenvironment with over 1400 roles, performed throughout multiple businesslines such as Buildings, Community Development, Energy & Resources,Environmental Services, Transportation, and Water.
Interview and workcollaboratively with internal subject matter experts to write technicalcontent of job descriptions.
Assist in the developmentand delivery of compensation &program training for HR and the business as required.
Provide support for Mergers & Acquisitions inassigned business lines or region(s) to include partnering with thebusiness and HR to educate and advise on optimal job classificationmapping.
Perform other duties of a similar nature and level asassigned.
YourCapabilities and Credentials
Experience consulting oncompensation programs, policies and practices that support informed decisionmaking
Comprehensive understanding ofcompensation best practices and principles
Experience compiling, analyzing and interpreting largeamounts of information/data from multiple sources required
Apply effective oral/written communication andpresentation skills
Demonstrate problem solving and critical thinking
Exercise confidentiality, discretion, and soundjudgment in performance of duties
Proficient MS Office Suite skills required, advanced Excel skills desired
Experience with HRIS Systems (preferably Oracle)
Understand and apply compensation related legislation,rules, and regulations for North America required; multi-nationalknowledge preferred
or equivalent in Human Resources, Business or related field; Minimum of 5-6
years of related work experience.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long
periods of time. Travel may be required throughout North America.
