Leveraging strong analytical skills, the Compensation Analyst will ensure accuracy by reviewing data sets for trends or anomalies for compensation projects, including data for participation in salary surveys, wage scale reviews or job comparisons, both internally and externally. The best candidate will help to identify and develop recommendations for new methods / procedures / process and system enhancements.
As a support function under the Director of Compensation, Systems, & Analytics the Compensation Analyst will administer and maintain all salary structures and pay ranges, utilizing internal and external equity to support competitive variable and on target earnings. On a semi-annual basis, they will complete compensation benchmarking for all positions within the company and maintain a record of all titles, grades, FLSA status, and pay ranges for all salaried and hourly positions. This includes but is not limited to conducting internal comparisons and providing salary adjustment recommendations for pay ranges. The Compensation Analyst will work closely with managers and HR Business Partners (globally) to analyze compensation-related issues and use their compensation expertise to solve complex business problems to meet business needs.
Within the first 8 months, the Compensation Analyst will program manage Barracuda's Annual Compensation Review. This will include managing a process to manage data, drive pre and post analysis, and drive consistent guidelines throughout Barracuda. This will also include the ability to provide clear information to the Executive team to help understand allocation and improvements for future Annual Compensation Reviews.
BA / BS in Human Resources, Finance, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience in Compensation, Human Resources or related field.
Experience working in a SaaS based industry strongly desired.
Highly proficient in MS Office; Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to develop Excel models for calculations and analysis, using VLOOKUPs, Pivot tables, charts, and mail merge. Macros are a plus but not mandatory.
