As a data engineer, you will play a key role in processing large data sets, designing workflows, and innovating new techniques to build efficiencies and improve quality checks within our current processes. This opportunity will challenge you to think beyond what is and be part of the future of using big data processing for feature updates.


Responsibilities

  • Process large geodatabases and data sets while innovating on new technologies and techniques to build efficiencies and quality checks
  • Develop data migration workflows and tools or scripts
  • Create workflow documentation and conduct efficiency testing tasks
  • Demonstrate and instruct workflow procedures to subcontractors and review subcontractor work quality
  • Maintain project schedules, estimate project durations, and provide project milestone status reports

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience architecting and implementing database QA processes
  • Experience working with SQL Server and Python
  • Knowledge of digital map and data publication
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Keen attention to detail and drive to resolve any issues encountered
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Bachelor's or master's in information technology, GIS, geography, computer science, or related field, depending on position level

Recommended Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the ArcGIS platform including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Enterpirse, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise geodatabases
  • Working experience with MS SQL Server Studio
  • Experience with the ArcGIS Data Interoperability extension and/or Safe Software FME tools
