About This Role:
As the Communications Analyst, you will serve as the lead strategist for Visit Prince William's digital assets, including our website VisitPWC.com. You'll play a key role in managing and optimizing our CRM and CMS platforms, ensuring our online and app content remains fresh, engaging, and informative. Your expertise in website development, app management, digital analytics, and content optimization will help drive tourism to Prince William County. As the Communications Analyst, you will oversee the development and implementation of Visit Prince William's email marketing program. Additionally, you'll collaborate with local businesses to maintain accurate listings, making it easy for visitors to discover what our vibrant community has to offer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain, update, and optimize VisitPWC.com using CMS and CRM software.
  • Manage and enhance digital assets, ensuring accurate and up-to-date tourism business listings.
  • Utilize basic HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant coding skills to enhance website functionality.
  • Analyze web traffic and engagement metrics, providing insights for continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop digital content strategies and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with local tourism businesses to ensure their information is accurately represented online.
  • Troubleshoot technical website and application issues and coordinate with developers as needed.
  • Develop, optimize, and distribute consistent email marketing
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to keep Visit Prince William's digital presence competitive and cutting-edge.

Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or G.E.D. and 4 years of related experience in digital marketing, website management, or a related role.

Preferences:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM and CMS platforms (such as Simpleview, WordPress, or Drupal).
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as applied to web development.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across department
  • Experience working in destination marketing, hospitality, or tourism.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices, Google Analytics, and digital advertising platforms.
  • Background in graphic design or UX/UI design principles.
  • Experience training staff or external partners on CRM and CMS platforms.
  • Ability to analyze and report on key website performance metrics.

Special Requirements:
  • Must be able to travel within Prince William County for meetings with tourism partners.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for rare special events or emergencies.

Work Schedule:
  • Monday - Friday, 7.5 hour days (flexible hybrid schedule with 50% in office and 50% work from home).

Starting Salary Range: $65,910.00 to $92,000.00
