Description

Oversee and govern the successful delivery of interrelated projects across all areas of the Cooperative. Manage a team(s) of communications and event planning project owners to meet the goals of the organization and provide guidance on at-risk projects. Design, maintain and improve project management processes, including assisting in developing and coordinating timelines for short and long-term projects.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drives accountability from project team members and serves as a subject matter expert in project management process improvements
  • Develops and maintains complex project plans, which involve tasks of multiple participants and stakeholders
  • Provides project status and summary to wide audiences including senior management
  • Identifies interdependencies in programs and serves as the go-to person for project management
  • Leads project management process improvement efforts
  • Assembles project team, assigns individual responsibilities, identifies appropriate resources needed, and plans and develops schedules to ensure timely completion of project
  • Understands projects' scope and objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member in order to effectively coordinate the activities of the team
  • Communicates with lead project manager and/or functional area manager regarding status of specific projects
  • Develops and maintains yearly project calendar

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, or related field
  • 5-10 years of experience in project or program management
  • Certification and/or License -- None

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Skill in written and oral communication
