Facebook is looking for an experienced Communications Manager to lead communications for Facebook’s Ethics & Compliance function. This is a brand-new role with global reach in a dynamic, fast-paced team. This person will be responsible for the effective design of long-term communications strategies for both internal and external audiences while executing against day-to-day communications needs in collaboration with the Legal, Internal Communications, HR, Policy, and other stakeholders within Facebook. The successful candidate will design, execute, and manage an Ethics & Compliance communication strategy that improves awareness and drives understanding and engagement related to ethics and compliance program needs. You should be exceptionally organized and detail oriented, capable of managing cross-functional projects and work streams end to end, with an aptitude for prioritization. Strong writing and editing skills are essential—specifically the ability to communicate complex, technical concepts to diverse audiences in a clear and concise manner.Communications Manager, Ethics & Compliance Responsibilities
- Develop an Ethics & Compliance communications strategy that supports the organization’s goals and focus areas
- Develop and maintain a global Ethics & Compliance editorial calendar
- Coordinate with cross-functional team to implement consistent communications across Facebook offices and teams
- Develop and create a wide range of internal and external communications materials including posts, creation of wikis/websites, blog posts, communications plans, statements, briefing materials for executives and more
- Develop, execute, and manage global communications and campaigns, applying a consistent brand
- Draft, edit, and review existing policies partnering with legal, HR, internal communications, and other teams to develop and execute change management and communications plans
- Consult with functional ethics & compliance leaders about their communications strategies, and provide editing support across the organization to ensure consistency
- Create change management strategies and plans that support key initiatives and program rollouts
- Create and maintain a way to gather feedback about initiatives and measure communication effectiveness
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and 12+ years experience in a communications role
- Experience in internal and external communications
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and working autonomously
- Experience turning complex information into relevant, engaging, timely and valuable content for different audiences
- Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional groups including Legal, Policy, Brand, Marketing, and Research
- Experience identifying communication issues and solving problems using judgment and analysis, providing communications guidance and support
- Media relations and social media analytics skills and strategic thinking skills
- Experience scaling a communications program
- Experience working with executives in fast-paced, regulated environments

- 14+ years of communications experience
