Brief Description

LinQuest is seeking a Communication Squadron SME too join out team in Colorado Spings, Colorado.

The ideal candidate will be a select member of a high performance team supporting the 21st Space Wing at Peterson AFB, specifically the Communications Squadron. The candidate will support, manage and execute communications projects across the Wing to include geographically separated units. The candidate will provide 21 SW leadership an overarching enterprise integration capability to develop, advance, and maintain a cross-functional coordination and integrated site picture of on-going 21 SW activities affecting mission programs, on-going and future initiatives, new mission assignments, system upgrades, contract requirements, etc. to enable more informed decisions and program prioritization. This position requires an active SECRET clearance.

  • Demonstrate experience in project integration, building and maintaining working relationships with senior leaders and action officers, and providing technical and analytical advice, guidance and products.
  • Maintain knowledge and comprehension of current policy regarding IMSC, AFLCMC, and SMC for project business rules, processes, and milestones for communication and mission system planning. Integrate 38th Engineering and Installation Squadron (EIS) blueprint documentation into a cohesive work plan input for 21 SW/CC approval. Ensure documentation is up to date for engineering and installation (EI) work plan and meet deadlines for work plan submission IAW AFI 33-150 and TO 00-33D-3005. Review EI work plan criteria to ensure new work plan items meet requirements. Provide oversight of contractor inputs to Communications Infrastructure Planning System (CIPS) and ensure they follow the AFIMSC EI work plan business rules.
  • Develop and maintain program continuity for all aspects of communication project support.
  • Provide communication project management and integration support for communication infrastructure projects being executed whether the projects were Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) by the 21 CS or sponsored by outside organizations such as, but not limited, to AFSPC, AFLCMC, AFIMSC, MDA, and USACE that affect 21 SW GSUs and/or mission systems.
  • Review project execution documents such as, but not limited to project scope documents; support agreements; design reviews; participate in communication management inspections of Program Management Office (PMO) projects and local contractor projects as required; participate in development and planning meetings; providing progress reports and operational updates to 821 SPTS/CC and 21 CS or other stakeholders, as required; and support construction manager roles and responsibilities for projects not executed by the USACE, the BMC, or any project containing Title II inspection services ensuring projects align with missions, master plans, and operational requirements and are executed in compliance with performance specifications and designs.

  • Schedule, coordinate, and carry-out monthly Project Coordination Meetings to educate stakeholders on 21 CS program requirements and processes; streamline project execution operations; capture project requirements; coordinate critical TAB functions and project support; ensure projects are properly coordinated and approved; maintain operational oversight of project development and execution; etc. to ensure continuity of operations and maintain programmatic continuity. The meeting shall include stakeholders from core TAB functions to include, but not limited to the BMC/CE, SSPARs contractor, 821 SPTS flights, 821 SFS, 12 SWS, and 23 SOPS/Det 1, USACE, etc.
  • Coordinate new requirements with users, the BMC, all GSUs, and the 21 CS regarding PPBE associated with current AF policy, instruction, and timelines.
  • Participate in TIMs, teleconferences, and other working groups with Government and Contractor organizations. Prepare briefings, special technical reports or papers, as requested, to support reviews and meetings. Provide progress and status inputs.
  • Provide general support for conferences and TIMs. This support includes but, it not limited to, planning, hosting (if necessary), producing handouts, and provision of meeting minutes.

  • Required Experience
  • 4 year degree in IT/cyber or 10-15 years experience in a unit/wing communications squadron
