Autonomously establishes negotiation strategies that leverage CAE's global spend, including all of CAE's products.
Independently reviews legal documents to ensure appropriate commercial terms and protection of CAE's interests with suppliers.
Experience with manufacturing processes, reading detailed engineering drawings, mechanical or electromechanical parts, fabricated metals, and sheet metal.
Experienced in formulating and leading strategies to transform manufacturing (eg: Vendor Managed Inventory, supply chain best practises in a manufacturing environment)
Manage tier 1 vendors and their multi tier subcontractor to ensure JIT deliveries.
Present strategic commodity sourcing plan to executive members.
Prepares, analyzes and send to vendors request for quote (RFQ) – if required.
Identify and manage commercial, contractual, operational, financial, reputational, ethical and supply chain risks to minimise negative impacts on category objectives while encouraging opportunity and innovation.
University Degree in Technical Studies, Engineering or Science and more than eight years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Excellent negotiation skills and contract management skills.
Ability to independently establish commercial strategies and conclude agreements.
Indepth knowledge of procurement strategies and introduction of new products/ services.
