Large community/regional publicly traded bank client is seeking a well experienced Commercial Lending/Sr. Commercial Lending Officer in Houston, TX. Preferred is a professional immersed in the Houston business community with an established network and/or book of business. Is part of a team of commercial lenders reporting directly to the executive commercial lending market leader with primary focus on developing new commercial loan business (C&I , CRE and other commercial lending business) in addition to focusing and attracting depository customers and cross-selling Treasury Services. Examines, evaluates & recommends approval of commercial credits. Identifies & analyzes markets to develop prospects for commercial banking. Actively participates in business development & networking opportunities. Prospects and integrally involved in requesting specified information for credit applications and Treasury Services opportunities. Works in conjunction with credit analysts in analyzing financial status, credit & property evaluation to assess feasibility in granting a loan. Packages & facilitates negotiation of all aspects of loan structure, repayment options, & other credit terms. Presents credits to loan committee for approval. Versed in actively managing client relationship, exceptions, and other credit requirements. 7+ years experience in banking relationship management role or related business lending experience; direct in-person contact preferred. Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field. General knowledge of core business products and services including deposit and Treasury Services. Strong understanding of credit products; Strong business development skills and ability to build relationships with clients and internal partners. Adept in understanding sound business practices, financial and economic concepts, and varying industry/market needs. Strong written, credit analysis and verbal communication skills with individuals at all levels, internally and externally. Proven track record of consistent loan and deposit production. Software skills: MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
