ing a value engineering function that creates the frameworks / benchmarks / models / tools that the sales team uses to demonstrate differentiated value. Additionally, this person has experience uncovering new insights from multiple data sources and synthesizing them into compelling models, pictures and stories that challenge customers to think differently about their problem, possible solutions and Smartsheet’s role in their success.

Responsibilities

  • Research and develop Challenger Commercial Insights
  • Identify valuable and unique strengths to help customers solve an important business problem in an unanticipated way
  • Develop change management frameworks to help customers adopt Insight
  • Integrate the Commercial Insight into selling stories with business impact
  • Integrate the Commercial Insight into business cases and selling tools
  • Help the sales team use these insight-based tools to win deals
  • Create related business case and value engineeringsales tools
  • Comfortable analyzing and turning data into pictures and stories
  • Technical aptitude with the ability to learn new technology quickly

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.S.) or equivalent, MBA a plus
  • 7+ years experience in enterprise software
  • Experience with insight development and sales support
  • Experience with market research, customer-base analysis
  • Proven communicator with exceptional analytic, written, verbal and storytelling skills
  • Experience using a hypothesis-based process to create business insights
  • Experience in a value engineering role developing business cases for a sales team
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams on a variety of projects, problems
  • Experience in a customer-facing sales or sales support role.
  • Experience using Salesforce.com, Smartsheet, Tableau, PowerBI, Excel and SQL to ask / answer questions with data
  • Familiarity with CEB’s Commercial Insights or Corporate Vision’s ‘Power Messaging’
