Commercial Energy Sales Representative

Location:  Maryland


Our client, founded in 1926, serves customers across Delaware, Maryland and Virginia. It is a privately held company that prioritizes family, collaboration and dedication.

Position Overview:

As a Commercial Energy Sales Representative you will manage the company's Commercial business consisting of customers and prospects with the goal of attaining and retaining customers profitably while delivering the desired EVA results set forth by the corporation. 

Your business will include sales of fuel oil, kerosene, gasoline, diesel fuel, propane, heating & cooling equipment, all accessories and services to commercial, industrial, agricultural, government, marine, small gas stations, schools, and non-profit organization accounts.

You will be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings, to accommodate your customers.


1.Marketing: Support the sales, marketing and retention efforts of the company through a value-added sales/marketing approach. 

2.Develop and maintain a strong technical knowledge of the products and services of the company as well as competitive products and services.

3.Through account profiling, analyze unique accounts needs: product, service, financial, equipment, environmental and work with operations, equipment sales/service, and administration and company management to develop custom, value added solutions for customers and deliver positive EVA results to SMO in assigned territory.

4.Develop and execute a strong sales activity management process to ensure regular contact with current customers and to find new prospects. Maintain current know-ledge of competitor activity in non-residential markets.

6.Manage expenses within department budget to maximize sales growth.

7.Assist in the execution of any trade shows, promotions and advertising as directed by the Commercial Sales Manager.
