The opportunity   Commercial Enablement (CE) is a multi-disciplinary team formed to advance EY’s ability to sell, shape and contract large, transformational opportunities across EY. The CE Team is primarily involved in large deal pursuits, Managed Services offering development, account strategy and growth, and serves as deal advisors and leads across the firm’s highest value client pursuits.   The Solution Architect role will be a defined role within the CE team and will be assigned to CGP opportunities as dictated by prioritized demand.  The role calls for flexibility and adaptability to be placed in a central role in shaping and closing complex deals across both sectors and offerings.     Your key responsibilities You will work directly with EY professionals, leaders and clients to define and execute win strategies as well as shape andcontract large deal opportunities for EY Advisory Services. As a Solution Architect, you will:

  • Participate in large deal pursuits to understand client needs and align EY’s services to meet those needs in a repeatable, sustainable and profitable business model
  • Collaborate with pursuit teams to define all elements of the solution model to accurately estimate the cost, effort, and timeline to deliver
  • Work closely with functional SMEs and technology/transformation leads to develop target operating models, implementation plans, and client value propositions
  • Assist with business case and pricing model development
  • Ensure solution and commercials are reflected in contractual documentation
  • Present solutions confidently and accurately to client executives and EY internal leadership
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal EY stakeholders
  • Manage and develop high performing teams through effective leadership, coaching and mentoring

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Bachelor's degree and approximately 4 years of related work experience in in strategy consulting, managed services, solution sales or related fields; or a graduate degree (MBA, JD) and approximately 3 years of related work experience
  • Experience with solution architecture or product management for technology services, managed services or other professional services
  • Demonstrated abilities in one or more of the following areas:
    • Sales execution and origination for large / complex managed services deals
    • Management or strategy consulting
    • Quantitative analysis and/or financial modeling
    • Contract drafting and negotiations for large / complex services transactions 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical writing and client presentations using tools such as PowerPoint/Excel/Word
  • Willingness to travel to meet client needs and ability to travelinternationally; travel is estimated at 5-10 weeks per year for employees based in the New York Metro area
