The Director of Sales is responsible for developing and driving emission control customer strategy, managing the customer relationship, and internal management to achieve Tenneco and customer deliverables. Major elements associated with this position include leading, coaching, and directing team members to develop and execute Tenneco strategy, identify and selectively secure new business opportunities at profitable levels, support successful launches, identify and drive improve platform profitability, minimize TVM give-backs, drive continuous improvement activity and serve as the voice of Tenneco to the customer and the customer to Tenneco. Additionally, as the commercial head for NA, where GM’s home room is located, this position is expected to help coordinate alignment on global business. This position serves as the primary customer interface for all business transactions.
