Qualifications

  • 3+ years of commercial auto underwriting experience (preferably with long-haul trucking)
  • CIP designation (completed or in progress)
  • RIBO license or willingness to obtain
  • Knowledge of domestic carriers and Lloyd's of London markets is beneficial

Responsibilities

  • Underwrite and manage a portfolio of medium to large commercial transportation fleet risks
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with brokers within your authority
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and stakeholders
  • Mentor junior underwriters and aid in team development
  • Support enhancements to underwriting guidelines and processes
  • Represent the company at industry events and broker meetings
  • Collaborate across departments for smooth broker and client interactions
  • Contribute to the profitable growth of the portfolio

Compensation
  • Base salary: $75,000 to $105,000 or more depending on experience

Responsibilities
  • Underwriting and managing a portfolio of medium to large commercial Transportation fleet risks - new business, renewals, and endorsements
  • Negotiating terms and conditions with brokers within your delegated authority
  • Building and maintaining strong broker and stakeholder relationships
  • Mentoring junior underwriters and contributing to team development
  • Supporting improvements to underwriting guidelines, processes, and workflows
  • Representing the organization at industry events and broker meetings
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to ensure seamless broker and client experiences
  • Contributing to profitable portfolio growth
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of commercial auto underwriting experience (long-haul trucking experience is a strong asset)
  • CIP designation (completed or in progress)
  • RIBO license or willingness to obtain
