The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Command Knowledge and Information Management Branch Chief, GG-2210-14 at Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue, Nebraska.
Salary Range: $127,933 - $165,148 based on experience
relocation or recruitment incentive may be available
REQUIREMENTS TO BE CONSIDERED:
This is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) Personnel System position aligned under authorities of Section 1599f, of Title 10, Chapter 81 United States Code and DOD Instruction 1400.25-V3007.
Required 3-year probationary period for new Federal government appointments.
CES applies and documents Veterans' Preference IAW Department of Defense (DoDI) 1400.25, Volume 3005.
Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for; you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period. Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.

The primary purpose of this position: USSTRATCOM is seeking a seasoned leader to head the Data & Knowledge Innovation Solutions Branch. In this supervisory role, you'll guide a high performing team responsible for driving collaboration, digital modernization, and enterprise information sharing across the Command. You'll shape IT strategy, oversee complex systems integration efforts, and influence senior decisionmakers on future capabilities. Qualifications/Requirements:
U.S. Citizenships Required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security Clearance.
This is a designated Drug Testing Position.
Expert knowledge of and skill in the analysis of military information systems, their interaction, and their impact on global combatant command operations.
Expert knowledge of a wide range of IT principles and systems analysis concepts and techniques, new and emerging information technologies, security methods and principles technological advances, to apply internet technologies to analyze networks and the related security aspects and predict how management can meet future requirements.

Knowledge of customers' business processes and operations to anticipate and refine functional requirements.
Knowledge of design tools, methods, and techniques as well as life cycle management concepts, cost benefit analysis, system architecture, integration techniques, and testing methods.
Knowledge of customary approaches, techniques, and requirements appropriate to analyze requirements, develop acquisition strategies, and implement systems enhancements.
Skill to organize and lead study teams tasked to originate new ideas, projects, and methodologies.
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
Ability to interpret manpower documents and accurately connect personnel records to manpower and funding data elements.
Cyberspace Qualification is a condition of employment. This position includes Cyberspace work as a paramount duty requirement.
Must be able to obtain and maintain Information Assurance certification within 6 months of assigned duties
