    • Identify staffing needs and communicate those needs to the Collections Director
    • Screen, interview, and hire new employees
    • Arrange for the training of new employees
    • Receive and review statistical documents from Information Services and provide that information to the appropriate Collector/Patient Account Representative
    • Assure productivity of each staff member
    • Review each staff member’s productivity on a monthly basis and perform annual evaluations
    • Counsel staff with disciplinary and productivity issues
    • Work as a liaison between the Collections services staff and other PAS staff
    • Resolve issues escalated by patients and/or Collections staff
    • Conduct monthly staff meetings

Job Requirements

We are in need of an experienced hospital Collections Manager for our Service Center in Norcross, GA.  You will be part of the team managing Government account collections for 22 hospitals located in Georgia, South Carolina, Nevada and California.  This is a challenging, metrics-driven environment that requires a self-starter who can make key decisions without direction.  We offer many opportunities for career growth.  You need the following to be our top candidate:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 3 years managing hospital collections, preferably in a multi-site/multi-state environment
  • Ability to understand and demonstrate knowledge of Hospital Revenue Cycle processes, AR Aging Analysis and follow up
  • Must have working knowledge of Government Collections processes(Medicaid and Managed Medicaid Payers)
  • Ability to Identify Trends
  • Ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships
  • Must be flexible
  • Proven track record of inventory management and account resolution
  • Proven track record managing staff productivity and quality
  • Proven track record of successful process improvement in account resolution
