TRANSITION DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Plan, prepare and integrate facility Collections processes to PAS during deployment
  • Assure accurate transfer of data and accounts from facility to PAS
  • Serve as a primary liaison between PAS leadership and facility Collections managers during deployment  OPERATIONAL DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Oversee the service centers operations of Collections functions such as monitoring third party accounts receivable, account follow-up, account resolution, balance reconciliation, denial and bad debt reporting, agency review, etc.
  • Provide relevant guidance for Collections Managers and other service centers Directors to resolve internal and external issues
  • Inform COO of any significant issues in the Collections area (e.g., payer issues, vendor issues, etc.)
  • Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and company compliance policies, ensuring timely staff education
  • Inform Collections Management and staff regarding payer requirements, significant changes and developments
  • Review Collections performance to ensure timeliness, accuracy, compliance and standards fulfillment as defined in the service centers Service Level Agreements
  • Complete monthly trending analysis of Collections performance
  • Coordinate and promote implementation and monitoring of standard Masterfile’s, processes, reporting and education programs
  • Follow overall market trends and communicate significant shifts to the service centers Leadership and others as appropriate
  • Oversee management of Collections personnel, providing recommendations for hiring, promotion, salary adjustment and personnel action where appropriate
  • Monitor trends and communicate significant shifts in market or operating conditions to PAS and facility leadership
  • Support corporate Solutions Management and Implementation of staff in company-wide initiatives such as the development of operational models and education programs
  • Establish controls and review mechanisms for policies and procedures
  • Develop specific objectives, budgets, and performance standards for each area of responsibility
  • Identify and implement process improvements to lower costs and improve service to facility customers
  • Assume a lead role for innovation, knowledge sharing and leading practices identification within the service center and among peer group
  • Perform staff reviews and prepare performance documents for direct reports
  • Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”
  • Other duties as assigned

You need the following to be our top candidate: 

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Minimum 3 years managing hospital collections, preferably in a multi-site/multi-state environment
  • Minimum 5 years healthcare management experience (hospital collections management preferred)
  • Ability to understand and demonstrate knowledge of Hospital Revenue Cycle processes, AR Aging Analysis and follow up
  • Ability to Identify Trends
  • Ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships
  • Must be flexible
  • Proven track record of inventory management and account resolution
  • Proven track record managing staff productivity and quality
  • Proven track record of successful process improvement in account resolution
