Miller Industries is in search of an experienced CNC and Robotic Weld Cell programmer/engineer. We are looking for an individual who can program and oversee operation of all CNC production machines.

Essential Job Functions

  • Proficient with detailed engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of material properties
  • Prepare offline production programs and transfer to applicable machines
  • Using measurement tools to ensure accuracy of production
  • Use continuous improvement practices to ensure efficiency, low cost, and minimal waste
  • Manage multiple projects from inception to sustaining operation
  • Oversee and communicate needs to operators
  • Determine array of necessary tooling based on job and part requirements

 

Required Experience, Education, and Abilities

  • Preferred 10 years’ experience with CNC programming machines and robotic weld cells
  • Must have four-yeardegree in engineering or related field
  • Experience with Bystronic Xpert200 press, new Messer MetalMaster Xcel, and/ or an ABB automated robotic weld cell a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Strong aptitudes in math and analysis
  • Ability to read detailed engineering drawings
  • Ability to prioritize and manage several projects
  • Experience with SolidWorks is preferred
